This policy setting option allows administrators to configure whether users can run an online repair for Office 365 ProPlus, Office 365 Business, Visio Pro for O365, and Project Pro for O365.
If the setting is enabled or not configured, users can run an online repair from Apps and Features or Add/Remove Programs. The repair will download and reinstall Office from the Office Content Delivery Network (CDN) or a local source, depending on the Office setting. If a local source is specified, that source must contain all required language files. Administrators can allow the repair to use the Office Content Delivery Network (CDN) if the local source is unavailable or does not contain all necessary files. The repair maintains all configuration settings, including products, languages, excluded applications, and update settings. Users must have administrative privileges to run an online repair.
If the setting is disabled, users cannot run an online repair. They can still run a quick repair.
Important: This policy setting only applies to Office 365 clients that are installed by using Click-to-Run, including Office 365 ProPlus, Office 365 Business, Visio Pro for Office 365 and Project Pro for Office 365. It doesn't apply to Office products that use Windows Installer (MSI)
